Happy Birthday Andrew

Tanjobi omedato! Happy Birthday Andrew Chan!

With it being a week night, and still recovering from the weekend. A quiet dinner locally in Sakurashinmachi was requested by the birthday boy. So we headed to one of Andrews faves, a little yakitori place. It was a real local little place with friendly staff. After some random food, a birthday cake and lots of miscommunication in Japanese food ordering, we headed home with a take away in hand. A few more drinks at home were had to celebrate the day. Nothing too outrageous as we all had to get up at the crack of dawn the next day…. Resulting in Sophi being late for work! The first time in a long, long time believe it or not! The major birthday bash was to follow in a couple of weeks time.

Later that week we feasted on some tacos at Kumi’s house. Andrew the previous night had had a random bender with the Classic All Blacks in Roppongi, where he had graciously showed them around all night. The evidence of a night well had was his return in the morning with only one shoe! So he struggled through the tacos night with a good feed.

The next week on the Thursday a crew of 11 of us went for some good ol’ Shabu Shabu. Yum! We chowed down on the old favourite and headed for some drinks at the underground coin bar, where all night they were showing some crazy ass dance off’s in Krumpin’ and Clown comps on the big screen.
